The Centre’s human resources consist of scientific coordinators and researchers on the projects that the Centre implements.

Carolin Philipp

Dr Carolin Philipp is a political and education scientist, based in Athens and Berlin. She holds a PhD in political science from the University of Kassel deadling with the historical conditions and forms of social transformation in Greece, ‘Spaces of Resistance’ (www.kobra-uni-kassel.de).

She is a member of a Berlin-based research and education collective (www.glokal.org) and focusses on mediation of historical legacies of hegemony, discrimination (gender, race, class etc.) and resistances (www.connecting-the-dots.org). Currently she is project coordinator in a glokal-project on decolonial global and local histories, funded a.o. by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation (2020-2022). Postcolonial perspectives have also been the subject of her Master Thesis that she turned into a documentary on the charity discourse and practice in contemporary Germany (www.whitecharity.de, 2011).

She has worked as scientific assistant in various research project in Greece: In the educational project Democratic Education associated with the Kapodistrian University of Athens (www.demopaideia.gr) founded by the Stavros Niarchos foundation she co-developed of an online platform for educational material and as well as educational material. She also researched on social movements in Athens in the FP7 project Mig@net Transnational Digital Networks, Migration and Gender (http://www.mignetproject.eu).
